Snyder once saw the Action Comics cover and decided to only make that version of Superman.

I’m looking forward to MCU phase 4, which will be all Rawhide kid and Two Gun kid.

There’s a 100% chance the team behind Girl’s Romances doesn’t think Weinstein did anything wrong. I keep seeing National Review-types blame sexual harassment on the sexual revolution of the 70s. These people are ahistorical idiots.

      Itll still be better than

‘Snyder once saw the Action Comics cover and decided to only make that version of Superman.’

  • Fun fact: that Peanuts strip is on display at the Topps Company. The Joe Shlabotnik running gag is one of my favorites. (Another fun fact: Joe has a page at Baseball Reference.)

The Kubert cover for Our Army at War is so much better than anything else here. A harbinger of art to come in later eras.

FF 25 is not the first battle between Ben Grimm and Bruce Banner’s alter ego. But they were starting to make a habit of it. Look for Hulk vs Thing at a movie theater in about four years if the Disney-Fox merger happens.

  • Why is “Lex Luthor, Daily Planet Editor” not its own comic book–no, its own franchise, dammit? It would more or less be Fox News, 30 years early.

Also Action Comics is fairly…….prescient….in the current climate of americas leadership.

Ah, yes. Lois Lane going back to Cinderella times to re-live the life of that famous historical figure, Cinderella.

This year in comics is really fun and this month in particular is very amusing. I enjoy the ridiculous imagination of comics pitched squarely at kids (The Adventures of Barry M. Goldwater notwithstanding). There’s just a lot going on here, from Superbaby’s super-pranks to space pirates to Bat-Man locked up in an alien zoo. It’s fun. That cover of Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost; if the first page of the comic inside matches the page revealed behind the goat, then I love that so much. I would have been so disappointed if they didn’y match.

The Phantom this month featured some out of proportion character design and a witness to the action who seems more perplexed than impressed.

Her reaction is appropriate to The Phantom’s casual attitude. “What, this wall? Ain’t no thing.”
