Jones is really amazing. I first learned about him through his work with Scorsese.

That Kent Jones piece was fantastic. SO disappointed by Tarantino’s childish reaction to Ford. D’Angelo, blah, no surprise there. At least now I have a new writer to follow. Thanks for the link!

I was really surprised by that film because it was basically just there for me and I didn’t really feel anything negative or positive about it. I was very much in the middle but it wasn’t “painfully average” as something like Howard’s Rush was for me.

I watched L’Eden et après (Eden and After) and… uh… hooboy…

I liked it more than Night Moves (2013). MORE THAN Night Moves! WHAT HAVE I DONE! (as that indicates, this film comes highly recommended from Antonionian him/herself)

The courtroom sketch bit and streaker bit are among my favorite comedy bits I’ve seen I think. Just the right amount of absurdity.

“But you can’t tell Brezhnev to fuck off.”
“Why not?”
“He’s dead.”
“You can tell dead people to fuck off.”

(I don’t remember it verbatim, but something like that.)

Good for her. Hopefully that’s a sign for even better articles there.
