In New Zealand I don’t think it’s much of a living. Often you’ll see somebody like, say, the cute weather guy from the “Good Morning” breakfast show and he’ll pop up on that evening’s news panel show and then be on a comedy panel show later that night, all in the same t-shirt.

There’s a pool of about twenty network regulars who just get rotated around the shows and sometimes I worry they’re working 15+ hour days. Then occasionally one will make reference to their housemate and you realise they don’t even make enough to buy their own house.

Still browning out here, intermittently. I’m convinced it went down because I posted something today, which also happened the last time I remember it going down…

I’m not the biggest fan of slots, but at least it’s not “here’s a Wendy’s bag with all the discs inside”.

I think I’d like to be just famous enough that I could make a living off Match Game and other Celebrity Game Show appearances.

It wasn’t just about being funny, it was about being scorched-earth funny!

My favorite part was easily the fire fighters and their cardboard water.

Hmm, fair point. But the visual design is so much fun and detailed (as Ploughman notes below) that it seemed a shame and a missed opportunity not to reflect that in a similar sound design, especially when the music can carry the dramatic elements.
