It’s brilliant. Pound for pound it’s arguably the best comedy of the millennium not named Arrested Development, though a few others do compete more recently (Nathan For You probably most likely, although technically that’s not a scripted show).

Patton Oswalt noted that McClane’s goal for the first hour is to get help, something unimaginable for most action heroes. Bochner really does give great supporting performance here–this guy has been coasting on luck his whole life. He’s in over his head from the first moment when he’s hitting on Holly.

I’d recommend Party Down first, probably, then Review, Nathan For You, and Sunny (the latter because it’s so long– unless you just want to watch selected highlights as I mentioned in one of these discussions a couple of weeks ago).
