I had watched him on The Lonesome Dove tv show playing a swarthy long haired bearded Southerner. It took me a little bit to even figure out it was the same person.

Also, I was first introduced to Eric McCormack from his appearances on Canadian shows where he was almost always cast as a villain. So, it was so strange to see him as Will.
