Sorry not to have anything insightful to say about Tampopo. Like you say in your post, it’s a delightful movie that’s hard to discuss without falling back on “I liked this sketch” and “I laughed a lot.” It’s a delightful movie and I laughed a lot. That’s good enough for me.
