- This weekend, Northwest Film Forum is showing a 35mm print of Alain Resnais’ Je T’aime, Je T’aime, his only sci-fi features.
- On Saturday, NWFF is also having a bike-in movie screening outdoors at Cal Anderson Park. Last year, they showed Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure with live mixed music.
- NWFF is also highlighting documentaries about WWI, including a free screening of BBC’s 37 Days: The Road to WWI on Sunday, and a free screening of Churchill’s First World War on Monday.
- Tonight, Aug 15, Seattle’s LGBT Film Festival group, Three Dollar Bill Cinema, is continuing their summer movies in the park series with Clueless. It’s free, but it is also a fundraiser, so bring some money to donate and/or to buy snacks.
- This week, The Grand Illusion is showing The Dog, the documentary about John Wojtowicz, subject of Dog Day Afternoon
- This week brings a full weekend of Rich Hill, a documentary about the lower class in America
- Monty Python Almost Live screens for the weekend as well
- B-Movie Bingo brings you Samurai Cop on Saturday
- On Monday, SIFF presents a one-time screening of the local horror movie, Motivational Growth, about evil mold voiced by Jeffrey Combs
