It’s got performances by Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and so many other legends.  It’s got some of the best car chases not done by George Miller or William Friedkin.  It’s got Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi at the height of their comic powers.  It’s got Carrie Fisher with a flamethrower for the love of all that is holy.  But most of all, it’s got the city of my birth, Chicago, and the way we love it.  If for some reason you haven’t seen this wonderful slab of culture, get right on that.  The Blues Brothers airs at 11am Eastern and Pacific on IFC (assuming I’m reading the schedule correctly).
