Criterion’s April titles aren’t cool, they’re warm

Criterion’s April is a little slight in new titles and very low on surprises, but you really can’t complain too much when you have several fine films on display this month. There’s an underrated Francis Ford Coppola gem (Coppola’s entry into the Collection, surprisingly enough), the first pairing of Hepburn and Tracy, two Jacques Demy masterpieces (coming out the same day as the Blu-Ray of La La Land, because of course), and a long out-of-commission Japanese “ramen western”.
