New on DVD and Blu-Ray

I’m not going to dignify two of this week’s three new releases with discussion, but I’ve heard that Bad Times At the El Royale is solid, if way way too long (and also biting The Hateful Eight‘s steez). The week is otherwise dominated by Kino, releasing the likes of Agnieszka Holland’s Washington Square (discussed on this very site), Abraham Polonsky’s Tell Them Willie Boy is Here, and, uh, Roland Joffe’s The Scarlet Letter. If you’ve been longing to waste $30 in a way other than throwing the money into a fire, that last one may be your best bet.
