New on DVD and Blu-Ray

Conveniently timed to follow the most mainstream interest a Jim Jarmusch film has ever gotten, Criterion is rereleasing Stranger Than Paradise and Night on Earth on Blu-Ray, with them even unearthing a never-released Jarmusch commentary for Stranger. There’s also Shout Factory releasing Kasi Lemmons’ Talk to Me (now somebody pony up money for an Eve’s Bayou Blu-Ray) and Arrow Academy releasing Alain Resnais’s Mélo. But most important of all, this is the week when Universal welcomes us to Marwen. Everybody else they extended welcomes to didn’t seem to enjoy the trip very much, but maybe you’ll be different.
