New on DVD and Blu-Ray

Not a ton to talk about this week, other than the opportunity to kick Goro Miyazaki around a little more. I certainly don’t envy him getting stuck with a father whose indifference to his existence is well-known enough to be a meme, and the footage of him in The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness sure makes it seem like he’s in the moviemaking business to get any kind of reaction from his dad rather than because he has any actual desire to make movies. He seems miserable and I hope he finds some modicum of peace at some point. But I won’t be seeing Earwig and the Witch because it looks stupid and ugly.
