New on DVD and Blu-Ray

Universal is catering directly to the needs of The Solute and Film Twitter at large this week, with 4Ks of Carlito’s Way and Inglourious Basterds. But Sony intends to beat them at that game with their marquee title this week, the second in an ongoing series of lavish box sets presenting 4Ks of classic films from their back catalog. I commend their good work, especially now that it gives us the highest-quality-possible versions of Taxi Driver, The Social Network, Sense and Sensibility, and the first half of Stripes.
