True-crime expert Anastasia Rose Hyden joins us to talk about Ellroy’s “L. A. Crime Memoir” My Dark Places and we go from El Monte, CA to Zodiac, Dominick Dunne, and Candace Bushnell.

Anastasia’s true-crime recommendations include The Devil in the White City,  John E. Douglas’ books (including Mindhunter), Dominick Dunne’s short non-fiction (including Justice), and Good Night, Sweet Wife: a Murder in Boston.
